seizure of cell phones

I read Phone searches spark protest. This article actually seemed useful it talked about how the taking of cell phones and reading messages was unconstitutional. The idea of people taking a cellphone and reading the texts on is actually kinda disturbing, that seems like a serious invasion of privacy and should not be tolerated by anyone. I can understand parent's doing it but a teacher or officer doing it seems a bit extreme to me, if you look suspicious or if they get tipped about you they should be aloud to search you but not read your conversations. Having people look through your items like that is unnecessary if you don't have anything on you then they shouldn't be able to check what your doing at home or after school. And to be truthful if they ever tried to check messages I leave friends without me saying they could I'd probably try to get them arrested. It's wrong and shouldn't be allowed, that's the same as being bugged twenty four seven. They don't need to read texts to know what your doing, smoking and marijuana leave a distinct smell and they don't need to read them. If they do it's to invading there are things that people generally don't need to know about you that they can find out while reading the messages on your phone, and probably a lot of private things you don't want them to know so I think that it is very wrong for them to even try.
